Institute of Medico-legal Publication Pvt Ltd (IMLP), founded in 2012 by renowned educationalist Prof. (Dr.) R. K. Sharma, is dedicated to bringing world-class publications to life. We publish journals and books, and invite authors to partner with us to turn their visions into reality. All our journals are open access, with all past and present issues freely available to the public. Our mission is to promote research not only in India but across the globe.
In addition to our publication efforts, we also host Continuing Medical Education (CME) events focused on research methodologies and job skills upgradation for frontline healthcare workers. These events are organized in partnership with the Institute of Education and Research (IEAR), aiming to enhance both the research and practical skills of healthcare professionals.

Founder
Dr Ramesh Kumar Sharma
Late Dr. Ramesh Kumar Sharma was a pioneering figure in forensic medicine in India. He served as the Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine at AIIMS and was the editor of prestigious journals, including the Indian Journal of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology (IJFMT) and Medico-Legal Update (MLU). Dr. Sharma founded the Indian Association of Medico-Legal Experts (IAMLE) and managed its annual conferences. He established the Institute of Medico-Legal Publications (IMLP) in 2005, with Medico-Legal Update being the first journal of its kind in India. Dr. Sharma's expertise was instrumental in several high-profile cases, such as the Jessica Lall and Aarushi Talwar cases, where his medico-legal advice was highly valued. He was also the author of bestselling books like How to Face Medical Negligence in Clinical Practice and Medico-Legal Tip of the Day, which remain essential resources for professionals in the field.
Promoter
Archna Sharma
Archna Sharma is a highly experienced physiotherapy expert with over three decades of service in some of India’s leading healthcare institutions. At Saket City Hospitals (now Max Healthcare), she served as the Clinical Advisor to the Chairman’s Office, where she led the management of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) patients and specialized in advanced physiotherapy care for elite aged clientele, including post-operative rehabilitation and anti-aging research. During her tenure as Head of Physiotherapy at GM Modi Hospitals, Archna managed thousands of complex cases, including post-traumatic surgeries, hip and knee replacements, and neurological rehabilitation. She is known for her innovative approaches to osteoarthritis management and chronic rheumatology care. In addition to her clinical work, Archna plays a pivotal role IMLP, where she manages the relationships with the editorial board and peer reviewers, and oversees the recruitment of reviewers for manuscripts

Saumya Sharma
CEO and Director
Saumya is an Ivy League MBA and former management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she advised clients across healthcare, technology, FMCG, and the social sector. At IMLP, Saumya oversees strategic decision-making, operational improvements, and the integrity of research publications. Her vision is to cultivate transparent, multidisciplinary research communities that are dedicated to advancing patient care and innovative medical practices, with a special focus on the unique challenges faced by developing countries
Apoorva Sharma
Operational Head & Director
Apoorva holds a master’s degree in Psychology from IGNOU. At IMLP, she manages the entire operational process, overseeing manuscript flow, coordinating with authors, and ensuring the timely publication of content. Additionally, Apoorva is responsible for maintaining digital and web assets, with a focus on disseminating accurate and transparent information to researchers.
Roly Diwan
Subcription Manager
Roly holds a master’s degree in Microbiology from St. Aloysius College, Jabalpur, affiliated with RD Vishwavidyalaya. At IMLP, she oversees the print subscription process, coordinating with universities, libraries, and research institutes to ensure the timely delivery of print journals to subscribers.
